CIMA is interested in co-operating with the Ministry of Environment on preparing documents concerning transforming of anthropogenic minerals into the market-worthy products.

The Secondary-First strategy concerns almost 70 m tons of mineral waste generated in the economy, mainly from Group 1 and 10, and if implemented systemically may fundamentally reduce their being landfilled and effectively protect the natural resources.

The anthropogenic minerals arising during combustion processes have binding properties and therefore may to large extent replace cement and lime, which is proven by tests and economic practices. Emissions avoided by this approach are measurable, which was demonstrated within a Climate Convention project and may constitute an important part of implementing the strategy for Green Economy.
